Portraits made from written text, produced as a series of photogram gelatin photogram prints. The portraits are depicting field notes, an unstable narration of encounters with a figure, as told by the artist. A language that is concerned with poetics as much as it is with fact, and form that is examining its own material body at the expense of legibility, these formal qualities are an investigation into the affective property of recognition, in other words: text is image too.
